Mike Espy in Mississippi

I haven't posted in Other Spaces in far too long and have changed states in the interim. For Southern Democratic politicians, the odds always seemed stacked against them in state-wide races, with the death grip that Republicans seem to have over the South. But I do think that Mike Espy, running in the special election in Mississippi, has a real chance in this election cycle. He presents a pragmatic-progressive platform that focuses on statewide issues, including with making colleges more affordable and ensuring that the pre-existing conditions part of ObamaCare is preserved. Mississippi is next to my new home state of Louisiana, an something good seems to be happening there.
